Projeto Bom Pastor The Good Shepherd Project partners Projeto Bom Pastor in it's care of and development of children and young people through the work of the Aprisco Centre. Projeto Bom Pastor also actively serves other sectors of the community in partnership with other organisations: |
Projeto Bom Pastor is continually looking to the needs of the community and to ways that it can use its resources to improve the lives of the local people. | ||

Senior citizens are often the forgotten sector of society in the Favelas. For them life can be lonely and boring. PBP pays home visits to the elderly offering medical, transport and social support. It also runs a seniors club where they come, enjoy each others company, have refreshments and take part in organized activities. |

Computers and internet connection, loaned by a Brazilian non-governmental organisation called CDI, are used by Projeto Bom Pastor to run an internet café for the benefit of the residents of Fatima. The café is self funding charging just 25 pence per hour. Residents are able to search
and apply for jobs, prepare CVs, practise their IT skills or just surf
the internet for fun |
