Roger Brown had
a brief spell in the City back four at the end of the 1970s. He
moved to Fulham in March 1980 soon after I started supporting the
Canaries. He has been signed in July of the previous year from Bournemouth
with whom he made 141 appearances scoring 18 times. He had made
21 appearances for Norwich when he was sold to Fulham for an £80,000
profit. He returned to Bournemouth in December 1983 and made another
84 appearances for them. He returned to non-league football with
stints at Weymouth and Poole Town. By return, I mean that he had
spent time at Paget Rangers and AP Leamington before originally
joining Bournemouth. From November 1987 to October 1988 he was manager
of Colchester United.
Has since worked as a production manager and as insurance agent
whilst helping his brother Gary manage Midland football alliance
side Bolehill Swifts.
