Biography

Full-back David Cooper is a member of Norwich City's Under-16s side who, along with Danny Kelly, had a trial with the Republic of Ireland Under-16s in January 2007. David, who comes from Mildenhall, was spotted by Youth Developement Officer Colin Watts when he was an Under-12 plaing for Mildenhall

In February 2006, he was offered a scholarship with the Canaries to commence in August 2007.

Republic of Ireland youth coach Sean McCaffrey said in March 2007 "There is another young lad at Norwich who plays at Under-16 level called David Cooper. We've had him in and he has done very well. He is a quick, skilful full-back and technically he is very good. He's definitely one for the future. "

David wasn't offerred a professional contract by Norwich when his scholarship ended in the spring of 2009. He played for Newmarket Town before joining Mildenhall. He moved to Bury Town for 2017/18 before returning to Mildenhall in the summer of 2018.
