Biography

18 year old right back / right winger Matthew Dennis signed for Norwich on a two year deal on 28th July 2020 following his release from Arsenal where he had been since the age of 6. He went on to represent Arsenal at every level of youth development up to under-23 level, where he was highly-rated.He featured 12 times for Arsenal’s U23s in 2019/20, netting on two occasions. The youngster was also on the scoresheet in the FA Youth Cup fourth round victory over Southampton in January 2020.

In July 2020 he joined Southend United on trial ahead of a potential season long loan. Kings Lynn and Solihull Moors are also believed to be interested.

His season-long loan to Southend was confirmed on 13th August 2021and he made his debut as substitute in the 1-0 win at Kings Lynn on the opening day of the National League season. He went on to make 29 appearances for the Shrimpers, scoring eight goals.

On 4th June 2022 he signed for MK Dons for an undisclosed fee. "I've spoken to the manager and he told me this is an opportunity for me. I'll be looking to learn as much as I can from him and the other players here," Dennis said. "I am a fast, powerful forward who likes to get in behind, create chances and hopefully score some goals."

Having scored six goals in 27 games for the Dons in the first half of the 2022/23 season, he was allowed to join Sutton United on loan on 27th January for the remainder of the season. he played ten games for Sutton
