Zac Dronfield was part of Norwich's Under 9s squad in 2010/11, having joined Norwich at the age of seven. He was on the bench for the Under-16s for the Hospital Cup win over Ipswich on 20th April 2017. On 10th February 2018, he was on the bench for Norwich's Under-18s clash at Southampton/

On 30th June 2018, it was announced that Dronfield would be an Academy Scholar, playing for the Under-18s.

On 16th July it was announced that Zach had signed a professional contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Dronfield was one of seven players released by the Canaries on 27th May 2021

Dronfield signed for National League side Wealdstone on 11th August 2021. On 10th September 2021 he was loaned to Hampton & Richmond and made 16 appearances.

Dronfield left Wealdstone on 14th February 2022.He had made just three appearances for the Stones.

He signed for Southern League side Leiston in July 2022.
