According to Steve Weaver's column in the matchday programme for Norwich vs Rotherham on 10th April 2023, Geoff Harrop joined Norwich as part of the academy set-up in April 2023.

Geoff was a player at Colchester from 1975 to 1981. He then played in Cyprus for Aris Limassol and in Australia with Kingsway Olympic. In 1994, he returned to Colchester as Youth Development Officer / Academy Manager. Leaving Colchester in 2002, his next role was as academy manager at Rushden & Diamonds, becoming assistant manager to Barry Hunter in December 2005, a role that lasted until June 2006.

He then became Academy Manager at Northampton Town before taking up the same role in June 2010 at Torquay United. He left the Gulls in June 2015 to take up the same role at Yeovil Town. He became General Manager of Torquay United in June 2017 before becoming Player Development Monitor at Southampton in January 2019.

Geoff's son Angelo has also worked at Norwich City.
