Biography

Stuart Lewis played for the Norwich City Under-10s in 1997/98. He moved to Arsenal where he captained the U10s to U16s also representing the England Youth team. He played six games for the England U16s squad, winning the Victory Shield in 2002 and captaining the team in 2003 on tour to Northern Ireland. Furthermore, he played twice for the England U17s

he moved to Tottenham Hotspur where he played for their academy in central midfield.

He joined Barnet on loan on 31st December 2006, making the move permanent at the end of January 2007. He made his Bees debut against Torquay on 3rd February 2007. He was released by Barnet on 22nd March 2007 and he subsequently joined Stevenage.

on 28th January 2008, Stuart joined Gillingham along with defender Barry Fuller for an undisclosed fee. As with Gillingham's earlier signings of Adam Miller and John Nutter, these are all players that Gills boss Mark Stimson had signed for Stevenage when he had been in charge there.

Stuart was released by Gillingham at the end of the 2009/10 season following their relegation to League Two and the sacking of Mark Stimson. He then signed for Dagenham & Redbridge.

He joined Wycombe on a month's loan on 22nd November 2010. Chairboys boss Gary Waddock told the club's website: "I'm delighted to bring Stuart to the club and he will provide valuable competition in the midfield." He made his debut the following day as a 64th minute substitute in a 3-1 home defeat to Torquay. He then signed an 18 month contract with the Chairboys, which was then extended further with Stuart making over 150 appearances for Wycombe.

In January 2015, he moved to Conference South side Ebbsfleet United.

He was loaned to Maidstone United on 20th January 2017. The move was made permanent on 29th April 2017 and he subsequently became captain

After coaching part-time for Spurs since 2015, he joined their Academy as a full-time coach in 2019 and retired from playing.
