Stuart Lewis played
for the Norwich City Under-10s in 1997/98. After a spell with
Arsenal, he moved to Tottenham Hotspur where he played for their
academy in central midfield. He has been capped by England at
Under-16 and Under-17 levels.
He joined Barnet on loan on 31st December 2006, making the move
permanent at the end of January 2007. He made his Bees debut against
Torquay on 3rd February 2007. He was released by Barnet on 22nd
March 2007 and he subsequently joined Stevenage.
on 28th January 2008, Stuart joined Gillingham along with defender
Barry Fuller for an undisclosed fee. As with Gillingham's earlier
signings of Adam Miller and John Nutter, these are all players
that Gills boss Mark Stimson had signed for Stevenage when he
had been in charge there.
Stuart was released by Gillingham at the end of the 2009/10 season
following their relegation to League Two and the sacking of Mark
Stimson. He then signed for Dagenham & Redbridge.
He joined Wycombe on a month's loan on 22nd November 2010. Chairboys
boss Gary Waddock told the club's website: "I'm delighted
to bring Stuart to the club and he will provide valuable competition
in the midfield." He made his debut the following day
as a 64th minute substitute in a 3-1 home defeat to Torquay.
