Biography

Former Blackpool defender Caleb Richards.signed for Norwich's Under-23s development squad on 30th June 2018

Left-back Richards made a brief League Cup debut appearance for Blackpool in 2017/18 and impressed in a Checkatrade Trophy win over Middlesbrough U21s, playing at right-back. He has had loan spells at Southport, Warrington and Marine.

On 30th November 2018, he was loaned to FC United of Manchester until 6th January 2019. He made seven appearances on loan. On 29th January 2019, it was reported that he was on trial with American side Tampa Bay Rowdies ahead of a possible loan spell in the USA. Norwich and the Rowdies established links in the Autumn of 2018. The Florida club play in the second-tier United Soccer League. This became reality on 5th February 2019 after Caleb signed a new contract with Norwich extending his deal until 2021. Richards made 34 appearances, playing all but 2 minutes of the regular season, and scored 1 goal. Tampa finished fifth in the Eastern Conference but were knocked out in the first round of the Championship playoffs.

On 31st January 2020, Richards joined Yeovil on loan until the end of the 2019/20 season

In August 2020 he trialled with Football League newboys Harrogate, presumably ahead of a loan deal, but they chose not to take him on.

On 11th September 2020 he joined Kidderminster Harriers on a season long loan. This was turned into a transfer on 18th March 2021 with Richards signing a contract to cover the 2021/22 season.
