Jamie Slabber trained with both Norwich City and Cuffley before
joining Spurs according to the Official
Spurs website.
A native of Enfield, Jamie made his first team debut for Spurs
at home to Liverpool on 16th March 2003. He fell behind in the
pecking order during 2003/4 with Spurs signing Kanoute and Defoe.
Along with fellow striker Ben Bowditch, Jamie was loaned to Danish
side AB for three months in March 2004 but returned hoping to
break back into the first team.
Jamie struggled with injuries at the beginning of 2004/5 but
made an impressive return to form for the reserves. However the
performances of Defoe, Keane and Kanoute meant that opportunities
would be limited and on 31st December 2004, he joined Swindon
Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
At the beginning of April 2005, Jamie signed for Aldershot until
the end of the season. Despite scoring in the Conference play-offs,
Jamie was released by the Shots in May 2005.
On 16th July 2005, Jamie scored the winner for Grays Athletic
in their pre-season friendly with Colchester United. He has also
been on trial with Bristol Rovers but signed for Grays at the
end of July.
Impressive form for the high-flying Grays side saw Jamie called
up to the England National Game side at the beginning of November
2005. He was named the Conference player of the month for October
2005
In November 2006, Jamie was loaned to Oxford United. The following
month., he signed for Stevenage. He was released by the Hertfordshire
side in May 2007.
After a trial with Rushden & Diamonds, Jamie was part of
a triple signing by Blue Square South side Haveant and Waterlooville
on 23rd July 2007 along with former QPR forward Leroy
Griffiths and Newport (IOW) winger Michael McEnery
