Welsh Under-21 international left back Rhoys Wiggins joined Norwich
on 24th July 2009 from Crystal Palace for a small fee. Rhoys signed
a two year contract with the Canaries
Rhoys came through the academy at Crystal Palace, playing regularly
for their reserve side, whilst also turning out for the Wales
U-21 team. However, tragedy struck in the pre-season of 2006,
when he ruptured knee ligaments during a friendly against feeder
academy Crystal Palace Baltimore, part of the Eagles' tour of
the USA. He was sidelined for the rest of that season, and several
recurrences of that injury kept him out of the following season
                as well.
Impressive performances in Wales U21's 2009 European Under-21
Championship qualification play-off defeat to England led to Wiggins
being given his first start for the Eagles' first team shortly
afterwards. However, this one appearance for Palace was not added
to, and he ended the season on loan at Bournemouth for whom he
                made 13 appearances.
Out of contract, he was offered the chance to stay at Palace
or move to Norwich and chose the latter.

Affected by injury, he finally made his Norwich debut in the
1-0 Johnstone's Paints Trophy clash at Gillingham on 6th October
                2009, playing the whole 90minutes
Rhoys was loaned to Bournemouth at the end of January 2010 in
order to gain match fitness. This was extended to the end of the
season as he helped the Cherries to promotion from League Two.
He made 3 appearances for Norwich and 19 for Bournemouth.
On 21st July 2010, Rhoys returned to Bournemouth for a fee reported
                to be £50,000.
In March 2011, Watford made two bids for Wiggins which were rejected
by the Cherries. Rhoys subsequently handed in a transfer request
On 1st July 2011, Rhoys signed for Charlton for an undisclosed
fee, becoming the Addick's ninth signing of the summer. Charlton
won promotion to the Championship on 15th April 2012 with a 1-0
win at Carlisle. The following week, it was confirmed that they
had won the League One title.
On 5th August 2015 Rhoys joined Sheffield Wednesday on a three
year contract. He had made 128 appearances for Charlton
On 1st February 2016 Rhoys joined Bournemouth for the fourth time, signing on a two-and-a-half-year deal for a fee understood to be £200,000. "I was surprised by the interest. But Eddie Howe's a good manager and knows what I'm capable of," said Wiggins..
Wiggins was loaned to Birmingham on 31st August 2016. He hadn't played for Bournemouth since rejoining them. He severely injured his knee in his second appearance for Birmingham and retired from football in May 2018.
