21 year old Senegalese international winger Papa Amadou Diallo joined Norwich City from French side Metz on 24th July 2025, beating firm interest from Watford. The fee was reported to be £4.3million with Papa signing a four year deal with the club having an extra year's option.

Norwich Sporting Director Ben Knapper said "Papa is a huge talent, and we’re delighted to have won the race for his signature. Despite having multiple offers from across Europe, he fought hard to join us, and we’re excited to have him on board to help us work towards our objective of reaching the Premier League. He’s a player with enormous potential and he’ll add pace, and a real directness, to our attacking options. He can play in multiple positions and is comfortable operating on both the outside and inside. He will provide real penetration both with his movement and ability to carry the ball and commit players one versus one."

He began his playing career at the Generation Foot academy in Senegal that also produced Sadio Mane. He joined Metz in February 2023, making his Ligue One debut on 3rd September 2023 against Reims. He played a total of 51 games for Metz, scoring nine goals.

At the time of the transfer he had six caps for Senegal (he had won the Under-20 African Cup of Nations in 2023).
