Biography

Norwich youth team player Pitshou Ngopwani made his international debut in the summer of 1999 when he represented Northern Ireland at under 18 level. Born in Zaire, he was eligible to play for any of the home counites but after discussions with Irishmen Bryan Hamilton and Sammy Morgan, opted for Northern Ireland. He played against Boca Juniors, Ettoria (Brazil) and the Turkish National XI. Pitshou had joined the Canaries as a schoolboy

Pitshou was released by Norwich during the latter stages of the 2000/01 campaign when he reached the end of his three year academy scholarship. He had a trial with Southend in July 2001 playing for their reserves in pre-season friendlies against Hendon (12th) and Canvey Island (14th) Although he didn't make an impression with the Shrimpers, he must have had a decent game against Hendon for he later signed for them, making his debut against Braintree in September 2001. By the early part of 2003, Pitshou was playing for Chalfont St Peter. That summer, he trialled with Harrow Borough.
